Blue Light Explained
Macular Degeneration Blue light (HEV) penetrates all the way to your retina and has been shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light sensitive cells in the retina. This causes changes that are similar to those of macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss. Many eye care professionals have concerns that the blue light exposure from digital screens might increase a person's risk of macular degeneration later in life.
Digital Eye Fatigue Short wavelength, high energy blue light scatters more easily than other visible light and makes it not as easily focused. When you're looking at your digital screen that emit significant amounts of blue light, this unfocused visual light reduces contrast and can contribute to digital eye strain.
Sleep Disruption Blue light is very important in regulating circadian rhythm - your body's natural wakefulness and sleep cycle. Exposure to blue light during daytime hours helps maintain a healthful circadian rhythm. But too much blue light late at night can disrupt this cycle, causing sleepless nights and daytime fatigue. People who use their electronic devices before bed have a harder time falling and staying asleep.
Why Not Block All Blue Light?
It's well documented that some blue light exposure is essential for good health. Research has shown that high-energy visible light boosts alertness, helps memory and cognitive function and elevates mood.
In fact, something called light therapy is used to treat seasonal affective disorder (SAD) — a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons, with symptoms usually beginning in the fall and continuing through winter. The light sources for this therapy emit bright white light that contains a significant amount of HEV blue light rays.

It's good against glare, but it's very hard to attach to screen without bubbles. Hard to measure and cut precisely.

I order the product for a 20'' screen and I got a smaller one. Also, the instructions are not clear enough. I had to watch the video here in amazon like 3 times. Overal I would say it is an average product. The good thing is that the product comes with 3 screens instead of 1.

I don't normally leave bad reviews, but I felt compelled to leave one here because i was so disappointed. I've put on many screen protectors. I used work in an advertising bindery, where I had to laminate thousands of advertising materials, so I would say I'm an expert in applying without bubbles and removing dust so it doesn't get stuck under the laminate. I had 2 screens to apply the protector to. The first one got damaged so I had to throw that one away. The second one worked but it still had a few dust particles that got trapped, but not so much that I was noticeable so i left that on. The third screen protector I applied to my second screen got so much dust hairs, bubbles under it that at first I left it, thinking I could just ignore them, but it got to me , so I tried to reapply it and I ended up damaging the screen protector. Anyway, my advice is to not make them so rigid.

It is impossible to get out the bubbles. I ordered this film by mistake but thought let me give it a shot. Would not order this product.

Love not having tired eyes at the end of my day. The film was easy to install and I had enough for the 2nd screen I use and a third one for my future laptop purchase.
