The brackets are a good size for my DIY shelving and they worked well. However, the mounting drywall screws were not good. There wasn't any thread on the mounting screws so the other screws would just spin instead of tightening against the drywall. If you buy these, make sure you have your own drywall screws that you know work

If you closely inspect the screw and drywall inserts, you will agree that they are AWFUL, so I immediately tossed them and purchased my own drywall self-tapping screw-in inserts. Once I did that, these were very worked very effectively. Just understand that you are paying for the actual brackets and not the screw assembly. For context: I installed these to hold up a 3/4-inch shelf. I drilled an 11mm diameter hole into the shelf and then routed out a rectangle to hide the bracket in. It was very simple, looks great and is VERY sturdy! I tried three different options to accomplish this look (thin floating shelves) and these brackets EASILY outperformed the other methods that I tried. I highly recommend these!

I bought these to install a small shelf over my stove. It was easy, and the shelf is very secure for the oils and spices that I use most.

I was able to use these to mount a thick solid wood shelf that weighs about 5 lbs and supports another 1-2 pounds. I got away with just using one bracket mounted to a stud by chiseling/routing a notch for the base plate to sit flush inside on the back of the shelf. I would recommend using 2” construction screws instead of the ones provided.

Zero instructions, garbage hardware and dangerous anchors. When they slip right out of the effing wall, you're getting zero points for safety. So, if you care about whether these shelves will collapse and kill someone, you will have to repurchase all hanging hardware and anchors.

I did a ton of research for our floating shelf brackets and these were the winner. They are designed to screw directly into the joist, which is exactly what you want. Then you have to Sheetrock over them. That is necessary for it to hold the weight level. This pair has a fairly large dowel so your board has to be roughly an inch and a half. The top shelf in the photo we used these. The bottom needed smaller ones.

The brackets themselves are great, but the anchors and screws are not. Anchors didn’t hold in the wall, and screws are not made to sit flush against the bracket. Works well when different anchors and screws were used.
