Let me say that i wasn't too impressed by this, but for at the price point i can't be upset at it. I was expecting it to be a little better quality and not fully plastic. It could use a few tweaks, like making the volume a little bit louder, so you don't tend to focus on the swaying of the arm, as you can't hear it fully. it takes away from having an audible click to stay on beat. You get what you pay for, so not bad, but not great as well.

The electronic metronomes that I have tried just aren't loud enough for me to hear and stay on-beat when I play my tenor saxophone. Also, visually, it is much easier to stay on-beat with a swaying arm in my view rather than a blinking spot on an electronic monitor. This product is exactly what I needed.Yes, it's an old-school solution, but sometimes they work best. The metronome is adjustable for any timing you need (40-208 beats per minute), and the beat selector (a chime on the 2, 3, 4, or 6th beat) is crucial to staying on-track and in the correct measure. I like that fact that I don't have to worry about batteries failing since the metronome is spring-powered.The only downside I can see, very excusable at this price, is that the body and beat selector are made of plastic which isn't the sturdiest material. Other than that, this is a good buy!
