got it when it was on sale, it might be the best bang for the buck sercurtiy camera in the market. The camera/app response time is quick (had the arlo be4). The solar panel works ALOT better than the p1 max and the previous generation, even in winter time in Toronto. Before, I needed to bring in the p1 max and charge it and now it's so convenient. picture quality is great, sound and speaker quality is also very good, very little lag time. there are some suggestions which i hope i can see in the next update.1. an option in the app where it can set the camera to do a panoramic view every 5/10/30/60 mins2. led to be turned on whenever it senses movement during certain time frame, i don't know why, sometimes it turns on sometimes it doesn't.3. (hardware) include a mount where i can mount it "upward" like a L shape, so i can mount it under the roof of my garage instead of drilling holes on my brick wall.Overall, highly recommended it's a nice system.

Bought five of these solar powered security cameras in November 2024, to place around my house. They all work very well I’m very happy with the function and quality. We had a very harsh and cold winter and they all but one performed well in -40 Celsius temp. By March 2025, One camera stopped charging via its solar panel. I bought in to see if it would via its usb cable. I reached out to customer service explaining the camera has stopped charging, They promptly replaced it. For anyone looking for user friendly and high quality security cameras I highly recommend this product

These are the 6th and 7th Aosu cameras I have purchased, and I am super impressed with the 360' features! The cameras record way more now that they can follow what they are recording, and the solar panels keep them well charged when the temperatures are above zero degrees celsius, I'm in Canada and the winters get pretty cold but overall they are performing well. I love all the customizable settings in the app, the AI detection really makes it unique. I use a 256G SD card in each and they work perfectly! I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend them for dependable security!

1 month reviewPros:- Panning camera offers more view range- Solar panel charges the camera frim 70 to 100 in 1.5 hours- Solar panel able to screw in to gutter mount (bought separately)- Easy to unmount if you need to change memory card or charge in doors- Type-C cable means you can also plug in to wall with adapter if you have one near by camera- No monthly fees to get the most out of camera- LED ring is bright and can light up drivewayCons:- 2 days of cloud and 2 nights of -10C weather brings the battery to 0- Ai detection does not seem to recognize parked cars on driveway and keeps notifying me of cars passing through- Recording can be hit or miss in Ai mode as it may not start recording at the right time. Example, delivery person comes by, but only records when they are half-way up the drive way.- Panning is slow at times and can get lost if multiple people in viewOverall, love the camera compared to previous Telus system

App is easy to use. Camera and solar panel installation and setup was very easy. Picture quality and auto capture are good for the price and solar power supply. I can check on my home, receive packages, and play alarms or speak to people from work.

I received the AOSU SolarCam D1 Max camera after purchasing it at Amazon. I received it in two days and the equipment was nicely packaged. I unboxed the camera and it came with everything you need to install it with ease. The screw pattern stickers made it easy to drill pilot holes and mounting the camera’s base and the solar panel base.Once I unpacked the camera I inserted a sd card (purchased separately) to record locally rather than subscribing (no subscription required). It also came with a shot type c charging cable to charge the camera fully before mounting. I plugged in the camera to charge and while charging I downloaded the AOSU app and connected the camera. It’s always better to have the camera synced and connected before mounting it. By syncing the camera I can now see what percent the battery is charged to. After syncing I played around with the controllers and settings. It’s a very impressive camera with great quality picture. I have used other security cameras but this particular pan/tilt/zoom camera is hands down the best.When I synced the AOSU camera it connects through 2.4G wifi and since i use mesh wifi the connection is excellent as there is a mesh about 25 feet away from camera making a strong connection of 94% making the picture quality great. The camera is presently located in the alley on a tree and the solar panel is receiving good sunlight changing the camera fully everyday. This camera is just too good and I’ll be relocating it to utilize its high quality. The two way talk works great and the sound is clear. I was able to have a conversation with my son while he payed outside.Overall, i highly recommend the AOSU Solar Cam D1 Max, it’s just hands down the best out in the market.

Researched this camera and many others and decided on this one because of the features and the price on Prime Days. The camera was easy to set up and holding a charge I will see how it operates when the winter arrives but working good now. I wanted a camera that would track and this does a fairly good job not perfect but acceptable. I like the 360 view when you want to look around and the feature that returns the camera to its set position. The AI seems to work fairly good a lot of less false alarms than other cameras I’ve used. Time will tell but so far happy with my purchase.
