Perfect fit for my 2004 ford ranger xlt 4x4. As a note: the bolt is a t40 star. Also, the tailgate bolt has a lock washer behind it, if you loosen both tailgate bolts you can get behind it with a pair of channel locks and grab the lock washer to remove the bolt. Straighten it back out and reuse.
