Installed but it did not solve my problem. Eventually took vehicle to a shop where they discovered that the actuator is leaking differential fluid through the electrical connection which blew a fuse. Obviously it was assembled incorrectly and has a bad seal somewhere inside. End result, I am out the $45 I paid for the actuator and about $300 to $400 I will have to pay the shop to diagnose, remove, and replace. Not happy

Put this on an ‘07 Sierra 2500 classic. Old one worked fine in TX, but when I drove to CO in the winter and the temp was below 15 F, the 4X4 wouldn’t engage. Just finishing the first trip in the winter and everything worked well.

Works like a charm. Just unplug and unscrew your old one. Tighten the new one hand tight and plug harness back in. Fit 2000 GMC 2500 without issue.

Simple fix for “Service 4 wheel drive system” warning. Took about 10 minutes to remove old part and replace. 4 wheel drive works perfect again.

It works great!! Installed it on a 1992 Chevy k2500. It engages the 4wd without me having to drive forward to get it to engage, like I had to with the old one and it engages the 4wd SO much faster than the stock actuator!Recommended to anyone wanting to upgrade their old stock thermal-gas type actuator. It doesn't come with the wiring and metal spacer needed to upgrade the old stock thermal-gas type actuator so you'll have to buy the wiring harness separately which is about $40. Here's a link to the one I used.https://www.amazon.com/APDTY-Actuator-26060073-1988-1996-Thermal-Gas/dp/B00CMWJ3TS/ref=pd_aw_sbs_263_3/140-2264269-2933558?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00CMWJ3TS&pd_rd_r=b8019661-67a4-11e9-81c3-e19ee3aed6a0&pd_rd_w=JQ9PP&pd_rd_wg=TG3aT&pf_rd_p=aae79475-6dc9-4a12-80e8-27b63108fa72&pf_rd_r=BMDFHKXNDM2HWA9M67F9&psc=1&refRID=BMDFHKXNDM2HWA9M67F9

Harness and actuator fit well and is straight forward. I did not splice into the lead coming off the transfer case as I saw no need to break a wire when I could just go to a hot terminal. Be very careful when plugging into actuator unit as clip will break off if not aligned EXACTLY. And you need that clip otherwise it will rattle loose and disconnect. After plugging in don't forget to zip tie clip through the small hole next to the piece you did not break off because you read this. This serves to lock the clip. Suggestion, study how it all needs to go together before doing it underneath the truck. It's so simple you think so why do that? Still. Take just a moment to look at. Measure twice, cut once you know. Another thing I might do different is to screw in the actuator almost all the way but not tightened. Then plug in your harness. That way you have a little more play and get a little better angle. Once plugged in then snug up the actuator. 5 stars for ease and compatibility. Hopefully it will last.
