Durable pill cutter, has not broken in a few uses like other ones I have owned from the store. Very precise and sharp cutting blade. I like that there is room to keep some cut pills closed inside it too. A handy tool to have

These are ok but going to use for a back up. It's easy to get the pill in and out but doesn't always get them evenly at all, matter of fact sometimes it mutilates one of the halves and it can cut my pill up into 5 different piece sizes because it doesn't cut directly through always so I end up with 3-5 total pieces of the pill. It does not do it always just once in awhile but aggravating when it does (also I am cutting a very small pill for my son which then I have to grind to put in his drink so that could be an issue is size so accuracy is very important with his meds.

Despite its cheap construction it's doing a better job that my more expensive one (which also did a great job when it was new).Having gone through a number of these I've come to the conclusion that they all work but none really last. A cheap one with a new blade will do better than an costly one with a worn blade. Remember that the same tiny part of the blade is used every single time you cut, so the fact that the pill is small isn't helping you.To quarter a pill, it works OK, but it's tricky to line up the half pill perfectly to get that 50/50 cut, since the "V" where you put the pill is too small for large fingers.

Best pill splitter i have ever found. Perfect. Splits pills quickly, easily, cleanly. I had been using the same apex carex model pill splitter for many years and recently bought this apex carex model that is slightly larger because the arthritis in my hands and wrists has worsened leaving me lots of pain and weakness in my hands. My right hand was really painful tonight and i needed to split a fairly large pill. I took my new apex carex pill splitter out of the wrapper and quickly and easily cut that hard pill into four clean same size pieces. I love this pill splitter. And the price cant be beat.

It cuts pills. Not much else to say, it really does it well. I like the small reservoir in the bottom portion that lets me keep multiple halves together so I can count how many I have / need for placing in my pillbox. My only complaint would be that sometimes there are tiny fragments shaved off the cut, so the halves are not quite even. Not sure if that's just the pill itself not cutting correctly, or the blade not being sharp enough. Either way, it happens maybe 1 out of 20 pills and I don't feel it's a detractor. I've included an amazing action shot.

I was looking for a pillcutter that had an incline, as my pill was very small but also very hard, and my current cutter wasn't, well, cutting it. This has the perfect incline to snuggle your pill and keep it from wiggling. I use it to cut all my pills now, from small round to oblong. I even threw my other one away. Very clean cut, little to no powder residue. Mine was clear, unlike the one in the photo. I didn't pick the color. The clear one has a line on the floor of the cutter, that you can use to line up the cut line on the pill, so you're guaranteed to get an even cut where you need. Same line is on the top, so as you close and press the razor down, you know the pill is in the same position.I really only have one con for this. When you cut the pill, and the cutter is closed, I wish I could just tilt the pill halves into the compartment, as opposed to having to open it and pick up the pieces to put in the compartment. It doesn't take any validity from the cutter itself, but that would be the only thing I would do to make it better.
