There are a lot of compact digital microscopes available these days. The screens on many of them, including this one are pretty good. And the magnification range is close enough to be well beyond what your cell phone can do normally.This unit comes with a little stand. Hold it if you want to, and it has focusing ability on the hand piece. And a couple of simple easy to use controls.I like the magnification range. Its ability to take photos and videos. And it can take a MicroSD card.It comes with a nice big instruction sheet. However, I have not yet figured out how to change the interface language to English, if there's a language changing setting, maybe it says "English" and Chinese and I'm not recognizing it. I'm going to have to go through the manual more carefully to try to figure out where it is.

Fantastic! This was purchased for a 3 year old. She really grasped it once she seen a very up-close ear on a dime. Simple to use and solid built!

This is actually much better than I expected it to work! We were looking at insects we were finding and we could see them perfectly clear! And with the zoom function, with a plant leaf we were able to see the cellular level! It was really cool! It is great to use for field identification for most things!
