A year Later, the truck is still going strong but started making some noise. I pulled one valve cover to see htat the tensioner between the two cams has rotated and is rubbing aginst the cam gears. I noticed that these aftermarket ones did not have much of a guide to keep them straight like the OEM. These need to be made better. Also, the chain itself has stretched somewhat. Spend the money and buy OEM or good aftermarket! Original post:They came with a different style tensioner that required shorter bolts. It did not come with them. I had to reuse my old tensioner that were in good shape.

Everything included in the listing came as advertised. Everything was nicely packaged. The only issue I had during installation was that the tensioners had much shallower bolt holes than OEM, meaning you either had to use shorter bolts, or use a butt load of washers to ensure the tensioner would sit snugly.I drove this vehicle aggressively for the next 2,500 miles, no problem. My F-150 ran great! However, today I had a catastrophic failure of the secondary timing chain… at IDLE.One of the pins holding the links together failed, allowing the chain to separate completely, immediately resulting in a few pistons to smack a few valves and causing a whole lot of damage.Save yourself the bigger repair cost, and go OEM from Ford instead of taking the risk on a cheaper aftermarket alternative.
