Used this to replace my old Denso AW063700-8810. Same part even though it says it won't fit, it did. It's the Mode control actuator. We shall see how long it lasts. It's tricky to install, no need to remove the entire dash like some youtube vids I've seen. Just access it from the drivers side, there are some other videos online showing it. Good luck!

Amazon says it does not fit but fit my Avalon perfectly. It is a challenge to get all the levers aligned in the slots, I finally put all the lever doors to full window defrost, so I knew where they should align. Good product and 2 weeks later all works great.

2007 RX 350 (2nd generation). The bracket does not align with the screw holes. The black "disc" is also different from the OEM. Therefore, I removed the actuator from the bracket/disc, and used the OEM bracket/disc with the new actuator. One star off as a result.Removing is a pain, and installing is even more pain.Preparation: Back stretches, wear a long sleeve shirt.1st, disconnect battery.Remove:1) kick panel by the console,2) door sill (to expose a bolt),3) under dash with a bunch of connectors. Note that the hood opener is here too.4) side knee airbag (disconnect yellow connector, use flat head to flip off black tab). Do some back stretches.5) Next, remove the plastic plenium (a rigid black tube) blocking the way - three tabs.6) Remove the actuator's connector.7) Then remove the 3 screws (wear long sleeve shirt to prevent accidental scratches). For the tool, find a "mini ratchet screwdriver" here at Amazon.8) Swap the bracket/disc. It only goes one way, and that's why we love Toyotas.Install: Deep breaths first. Instructions are:1) Reconnect battery2) Turn to ignition mode (or start the car if battery drain is a concern)3) Connect the actuator4) Go to climate, turn to "floor/feet" setting and watch the disc move5) Turn the fan to highest setting.6) Look at the "arms." Black arm on the top, white arm on the bottom. Note the circular one on the right also.7) Place the disc and align it with the black arm and white arm (no screws yet). Push the black arm down and feel the air blowing to the floor.8) Next, go to CLIMATE screen, turn to feet/defrost, then press "windshield defrost" on the right, back to CLIMATE feet/defrost, feet, front/floor, front. Watch the disc move. You're praying that the disc gets "sucked" into all three arms. Repeat step 7 if at any point the disc is stuck or pops out. Make sure your back is still good (or, ask another person to press the buttons!).9) ~Gently~ mount the screws! Hand mount them first, then ratchet.10) Reinstall plenium, side knee airbag, under dash (with the connectors), door sill, kick panel.Make sure the battery connection is secure, and the hood pops open normally. This job is not fun! My back is still sore, but it's finally finished!

All you need is a stubby Phillips #2 screwdriver and some flexibility. With the seat moved back as far as it can go, on the panel located next to the driver's shin, remove the two black retaining plugs and then remove the panel. Lay on your back across the door jam facing upward under the dash. You'll see the blend door actuator. Unscrew the four retaining screws and allow the actuator to drop down. Unplug the electrical connector and remove the defective actuator. Plug the electrical connector into the new actuator and move the blend door lever to match up with the protruding arm. Place the new actuator in place and screw the four screws in. Ta-da!!! You now have heat. ;)

This blend motor worked perfectly and was 1/3 the price of OEM.

Works great!! Was fairly easy to install (just remove all the dash covers and the metal frame so you can get closer. I used a flexible drill bit extender, otherwise I would have cried a lot. Then I removed the old one.I turned the car on and set the AC blow down to the legs. Then I played with the little knobs to set them to position where the air also came down to the legs with full speed. Do not turn off the car/ignition, so let the air blow! When you connect the blend door actator to electricity, it will get into position (watch your fingers), so it'll adjust to the right position. Theere are three little knobs which get into the routes on the actuator, but I had to pull back slightly the top left one so it could fit the actuator. Otherwise it wont work properly. Then use the screws to mount back and try it out in every position. Once you're done, install the covers back. :)

This fits and works perfectly in my 2004 Toyota Highlander. The original actuator had deteriorated so that it would not settle down at medium settings. Note that malfunction of the heater/air conditioner blend mechanism can also be caused by a broken wire in the control unit. I had that problem also, but after fixing that only partially fixed the basic problem. This new actuator solved that remaining problem. It wasn't too hard to install, but you might want to check out an on-line video showing how to do it. The hardest part was removing the section of rigid ducting which blocks access to the actuator.
