The oil pan was heavier grade material than I expected, good quality, perfect fit.

Great replacement for the factory original that was rusting out and damaged. Feels heavier than the factory pan and somewhat thicker material. Drain plug seems a little flimsy, I'm keeping the factory Drain plug just in case. Overall a decent part at a reasonable price.

This lower oil pan is exactly what I needed for my 2009 Equator (identical to the Nissan Frontier). Lower oil pan was leaking oil and rotting due to our lovely salted roads in Canada. Picked it up from here for a third of the cost compared to a Nissan dealership for an identical product. No fitment issues.Tools you need:- 10mm (open ended and ratchet set come in handy)- This lower Oil Pan- 9 new M6 bolts with washers (take the old ones to your local CT or hardware store and match them up, that’s what I did)- RTV (I used grey)Side note, don’t use an oil pan gasket!!! You do not need it. Just use RTV!It’s as simple as removing 9 bolts, pry the old pan off (use a big flat head screwdriver or crow bar) clean the old RTV off, put new RTV on the new pan (don’t use too much) and reinstall. No more leaks! If the pan and bolts don’t fight you, it takes maybe an hour tops.I can’t comment on the oil drain plug, as I see there has been complaints. I’ve taken mine off, put it back on and retightened it, no leaks or issues. It’s stayed put over the last 2,500 km. Maybe I lucked out? But I kept my OEM plug just in case.Either way, I’m a happy camper!

All of the aftermarket lower oil pans for VQ40s come from the same factory in China. Get the least expensive one you can. This is the third one I have needed as I've rebuilt and swapped several engines. They are all absolutely adequate. At the time, this was the cheapest available on Amazon.
