Pleated Filter seems to work better than solid. I purchased this to replace a solid 5 micron filter that would clog, if not changed with greater frequency. The pleated designed allows for higher pressure.

Filters that do a critical job! These filters are used as a whole house water filtration system because we are on a well. We have been using these filters for 2+ years. This is the first purchase of the 4-pack rather than the 2-pack. Either way the price beats the local places by at least 40%! We will continue to purchase the filters here as long as they are available!
