We have hard water where we live which creates spots on all surfaces. We got these filters for washing our vehicles to try and avoid hard water spots. Installation was easy, we affixed it right onto the water spout outside, then used the flex attachment for attaching the hose. So far, we have had far less water spots on the vehicles. We will continue to buy these for this very purpose. Reason for reduction in one star is the flex attachment busted during use and water was spilling all over the yard before we noticed some time later, we upgraded to a better quality one, but these are still a good value.

complete garbage, I threw them away after finding out that they didn't work.water didn't changed at all it stayed at 545 ppm.I followed the instruction to the T

We have hard water and I use these filters for cleaning solar panels .. I get 3 houses out of each filter .. If they work on our water they’ll work on any … Wash the car with it and you do t need to dry it no spots ..spot free rinse .. Love them .. best price around

Decided to give it a try and not really spotless at all, our city water here isn't even that hard. Waste of money and time, I will be go back to my deionizer instead.

Excellent product! Removed all hard water spots from watching the vehicles and outside windows.
