These were recommended for me to try over 10 years ago by a podiatrist when I was having toe numbness from my new clipless pedal bicycle shoes. (The pressure on the ball of my foot was causing toe numbness). They worked extremely well and I often put them in other pairs of shoes that don't seem to have the arch support I need. I take a pair with me to try on new shoes. I have a pair in most of my leather boots, too. They fit will in most shoes without causeing a lot of thickness.

I was having some arch pain and the doctor recommended these inserts. They have easily transferred into different shoes. I found that once I have my foot in, they don't slide, as they mold to the appropriate place in my arch. This saved me from buying multiple sets for different shoes. I did buy a second set, which I placed under the removable insole of my running shoes and left there. The soft sole on top gives me the desired cushion while having the firm arch support underneath. The inserts felt a little awkward at first in my regular shoes because of the raised supports, but they're doing exactly what they're meant to and have since become natural and comfortable. My arch pain and cramping has also gone away. I was pleased to find that the insert also didn't raise my heel, causing me to slip out of dress/loafer shoes. By buying the 3/4 length, I also didn't have crowding in the toe box area. I wear mine daily and the leather is holding up very well. Will definitely buy these again.

I have had tacco arch support before and as pleased with the product. This past order was too rigid & very uncomfortable. could not use them

I thought that this arch support would be identical to the Footsmart one that looks the same on the web site. It is not. It hurts my foot. The arch support is made out of hardened plastic, which is too stiff for my foot. It might work for you; it just didn't for me. I waited too long to try it or else I would have returned it.

I've used Tacco 3/4 length arch supports for about 7 years now and love them. Unlike the previous commenter, I rarely "activate" the sticky stuff - instead, I move the arch supports between shoes. I've also used these under the cushioned insolves in my crosstrainers, so I get the arch support of the Taccos and the cusion of the crosstrainers.
