Installed this into my Honda ECU and it works flawlessly. Makes removing the the chip super easy, no more bent pins!! Super easy to install if you have a heat station but, can be installed with a simple soldering iron as well. Worth every penny if you remove your chip frequently

Did not work for my setup . Poor connection between the pins into the socket in my ecu. The pins are thin and flimsy bent easily

It is well made and works well. My only complaint is that the pins are too short to stack well on an existing socket.I am using it on an existing socket because the existing socket is not a ZIF and trying to pry out a 28 pin IC is a pain, so I plug this on top and get the advantage of a ZIF socket when changing IC's. This is not the intended application of course, but unsoldering the existing non-ZIF socket is not an option - too risky for a multilayer board.Recommended for the intended application but not as I described above.
