This product worked great under my sectional couch. Just finished laying new laminate flooring and wanted to add outlets underneath a couch that is away from walls. These flush mount boxes eliminate tripping hazards on cords. Easily able to tie into basement electrical power.

While the price seems expensive for a simple electrical box, outlets and cover, the complete kit makes installation easy and it works very well for a variety of situations. So if you want to avoid making several trips to the home depot to save a few bucks, this is worth the price.

Will work great for my application. Retrofitted in my laminate floor. Mine is in a fairly protected area. Can’t really say as far as durability at this point. Seems like a hard plastic.

The product was relatively easy to install. Make sure hole is sufficient to accommodate the bottom parts that stick out a bit at the bottom of the box. The adjustable box height was a great feature. I tightened the cover plate screws, then tensioned the height adjustment screw to make the installation sufficiently sturdy. The installation was sturdy enough for low traffic areas, in our case under an end table to power a reading lamp. If you are installing in a high traffic area, or if you are going to be plugging an unplugging something frequently, I'd get a brass one instead. I thought a template for sizing the floor hole was included, but I may have mis-read the description. ISSUES: I had to trim the plastic gasket a bit to make it fit, and the cover plate was a bit scratched when I received it. If you have an issue, don't contact Arlington customer service. I did and they referred me back to Amazon and, as such, were not especially helpful, thus the 4 instead of 5 star rating. BOTTOM LINE: I'd use the product again, but be ready to fiddle a bit the product yourself.

Our daughter had a parfty and they played beer pong in our dining room. Beer got into an old brass floor outlet and shorted it out. The outlet was missing its brass cover. The Arlington outlet was relatively easy to install and adjust to the floor thickness. It does its job in keeping out dirt, the outlets are close to the floor level and easy to use. It is unobtrusive. Besides, it was inexpensive.
