Many professional engine builders prefer to use studs because of their ability to properly position the gasket and guide the cover into position. These studs are manufactured from black oxide finished chrome moly steel, and they are size 1/4-20 with an overall length of 1.170. This set of 8 studs comes complete with premium-quality washers and traditional hex style flanged lock nuts.

These studs are great! Makes it easier to install the valve cover and gasket. Keep in mind, these studs are very short. You can not install spark plug looms and valve cover hold downs using these studs. Too short, but work great holding the valve cover in place.

This is a great kit for anyone that has solid lifters/Roller rockers. It allows you to remove and install the covers and gaskets a lot easier than trying to stick the bolts through the covers/gaskets and find the bolt hole in the head. With this kit, you can just put the gasket down, then the cover and tighten the nuts. Just easier.
