Fixed leaky chlorinator. Included wrench made it super easy and fixed leak. Came with 2 rings so I am ready for the next time.

I bought this about one year ago- it was a good deal, 2 o-rings and the wrench for $10. However, the o-ring only lasted one year. The previous o-ring lasted about 5 years. Not sure I would buy this again, let’s see how long the second o-ring lasts.

Needed to change out the leaking O-ring on my father-in-law’s pool chlorinator. Came across this bundle of two O-rings and the wrench for a very reasonable price. The wrench worked fine, the O-ring fit perfectly and now my father-in-law thinks I’m a hero. As a bonus, we have another O-ring for when this one gives out. My only suggestion would be to include a little packet of O-ring lubricant, and then the bundle would be perfect (I ended up buying a little tube of O-ring lubricant separately).

If you have a chlorinator for your pool (3 inch chlorine tablets) you need this item. Allows you to easily remove the chlorinator cap. It's plastic so it is breakable. My previous wrench lasted about 5 years. Definitely worth the money.

The original seal on the left of the picture is ridged and perhaps too complex hence the early failure. This new set seems to work, did not see any leaks after installing, worth noting it was quite hard to screw back on the cover due to the new seal. The wrench helped however one needs to be aware of the torque angle to prevent dislodging the entire chlorinator from the pipes!

I ordered this because my chlorinator started to leak from the top and I concluded it was just an old faulty O-ring. I didn’t feel like replacing the entire chlorinator for $100 or more, so I figured I would just give a replacement O-ring a chance. Put them in and no more leak. Can’t figure out what the wrench is for, as it doesn’t fit the top of my chlorinator, but who cares. I bought it for the o rings and they stood up for the entire Last half of my Pool season.
