Had this rack mixer for over 2 years now. It's been great thus far. Sound quality is good. I had been trying to get a rane mixer without the block adapter to no avail. I don't have space for adapters in my rack. The rane mixers that come with the transformer built in seemed expensive. So I decided to go with this ART one instead. Same functionality anyhow

Plain and simple this unit has the best layout in terms of knobs placement and functionality. It also feels high quality compared to others. However, as the other negative reviews mentioned you have to turn the input and master gain up a considerable amount in order to get a good output. The problem with that is, as all units have some level of noise and couple that with the input devices, that noise starts to get noticeable which is very annoying. If Art addresses this issue, this unit will be a good choice.

Installed this in a permanent install, and unit hums. I don't think the TRS connectors are making full contact inside the jacks. I tried two units and returned both. I went with the Samson one instead, and all issues are gone. DO NOT PURCHASE.

I've been looking for a good solution for all my synths and modules for some time. I don't play live and I'm a collector/hobbyist. I have 12+ synths and 11+ modules. I had been using a 24 channel mixer and patch bays. With this mixer (I bought 4), I can have everything hooked up so I just walk over the board (or control it via midi) and it plays. I still use the patch bays but now it's to route to outboard gear. I have all four mixers hooked together and run to a 2 input interface for my DAW. I do not use the effects loops at all. These are very clean, only complaints are 1) I wish there was more gain and 2) I would have felt better if the mixers had L/R balanced outs to in to connect the mixers together vs just one TRS for in and one for out. Overall, I'm very happy and would recommend, I wish I found this sooner!

I feed this inputs from 4 computer sources, with room for more. No longer need multiple speakers or unplugging/plugging them to share. Super convenient and no hum issues. Only thing I would prefer is standard RCA connects, but this is professional gear, so it was worth it to get the extra cable adapters.

Sounds great but does have some minor feedback. I'm using the effects sends as an alternate output and it works great for that type of setup.

Once I was able to sort out my balanced connections with the unbalanced inputs, I was up and running. Works great!

Nice device, however I too experience low level hum from output and headphone/ not earth loop

Unlike another poster, I'm not hearing any 60 cycle at all. It's very quiet, including through headphones. I can't seem to get a strong enough signal through it to light the level LEDs, but that's OK as long as it continues to work. The case looks sturdy, is all metal, and the 1/4 jacks on the back have a satisfying latching sound and require a pretty good push. I'm using it with a home system with an organ and piano, MIDI output to a virtual organ on a laptop, and another laptop to provide play-a-long. (I'm very much an amateur, just making joyful noises for pleasure.) Selling points for me were the stereo aux send and receive, with any input available to the aux bus with a separate level control, and the separate headphone jack and amplifier that is independent of the main volume setting. I haven't found any cons yet, but will update this review if I do. By the way, the front is flush with the top and bottom, and it can sit flat on a surface.

This is a wonderful device and just what I was looking for. I have a Kurzweil Artis 7 keyboard, a Novation MiniNova, an older drum machine, a Korg Electribe, an iTrack Dock for my iPad, and an old Kaossilator that all have 2 output jacks (left and right). With this, it's incredibly easy to plug everything in and output to speakers and/or the iTrack Dock for iPad recording. And, of course, the iTrack Dock can output to this mixer too. It's perfect for my needs.
