Great unit. Good to be able to overpatch. Bought these to replace some aging other manufacturers units that had gone intermittent contact…..

I have to hand it to ART for the build quality of their rack gear. I've had a few pieces over the years, and they've always been solid, sturdy, all-metal chassis, and they've done a good job at a low price pointThe P48 is no exception. I've had one in my rack for several years now and it has held up well. After upgrading my audio interface and adding a few pieces of outboard gear, I didn't hesitate to add another P48 to my rack in order to accommodate the additional inputs and outputs I now have.My only gripes are that it doesn't have an un-normal/through mode unless you have cables plugged into all 4 jacks of a channel, and that the normal/half-normal switch is completely inaccessible on the back of the unit. It's not something that I change very often, but it sure is a pain to have to crawl behind the rack to change the normalization settings.Overall though, this is a dependable patchbay at a great price.

Had this for a month now, and it works without it issue. Does everything I need it to, and it costs less than other brands.

Nervous as I have never used a patchbay before and the wide cost differences between units I was not sure exactly what to expect. Got the unit, well built, and clearly labeled, even included instructions that clearly (and in plain english) detailed the use - both common examples and use of special situations. Got all the necessary cables connected, options selected, and in the rack. Works exactly as I expect and honestly did not add, nor take away, any quality of the signal! Would absolutely buy again and recommend to anyone looking to add patchbay functionality to their projects.

I have a number of ART products going back to the 1990s. They are all very well built. The only complaint I have is the reversible mounts on the side are too large (vertically) and crowd into the spaces of the units on the rack above and below the patchbay. Once installed, though It appears to be working fine, although I have just started using it.

My ART P48 is well made, came with a very detailed and informative user manual, and sounds great. It has reversible rack ears, and can pass balanced, unbalanced, and stereo signals.
