Tried on a X1 & X16 PCIe slot, tried different cables, tried resetting BIOS setting for slots nothing worked. No lights on controller assuming it had lights. Also, no manual came with controller.

I used this with Linux kernel 5.16.13 in a 1x PCIe 3.0 slot, hooked up to two 18TB Seagate Exos drives using a 6-pack of one-meter CableDeconn braided SATA3 cables. I've had no trouble with these cables with my onboard SATA HBAs, nor my LSI cards, and I've got 12 other working Exos18s in the same machine. The card recognized both devices, but reset the ATA connection every five seconds or so, making them effectively useless. This repeated itself when I moved the card to another slot. I replaced the card with an LSI SAS9008 PCIe 2.0x4 card, and things are now fine.

I could not get my MSI Z690 motherboard to recognize the card. The lights worked but I didn't see it in the device manager. Tried 2 different slots but never worked.

I got this card to connect to the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4's IO board. I have six 4TB drives connected to the card so they are all available to the Pi CM4 as a NAS solution.
