This bag does not function properly because the handle set-up is badly designed. The handle should be at the front end of the bag, not on top. There are two clip-in handle settings on top. With the lower setting the back end of the bag (where the protective runners are located) scrapes the floor when you wheel it, making it hard to pull. With the higher clip-in setting the handle is closer to the front end of the bag, but all weight is distributed to your arm when you roll the bag, instead of to your arm, shoulder, and back. I had to pay a shoe repair to sew the handle into the front end of the bag where it belongs in order to make it function correctly as a rolling bag. I had had good experiences with other Athalon bags, but his bag has the worst design ever for a rolling ski bag.

Update 2022/03/03: The ski bag has torn on the bottom, near the left hand side by the wheel exposing a bit of interior foam padding. I have only used this bag a handful of times and am disappointed at the worksmanship. Support refused to warranty citing "wear and tear". Look elsewhere if you're expecting a durable bag that will last years. Lowered from 5 stars.I have a pair of alpine skis (~156cm, 76 waist) + poles, and they fill half the bag nicely. I have full confidence 2 pairs of skis will fit in this bag.Upgrading from a High Sierra basic single, non-padded bag - this one is nicely padded all around. The skid plate near the bottom of the bag is not padded, but that's okay.Wheels roll nicely, and the bag can be rolled with the included handle easily, even if your skis are not the maximum length this bag can fit.I personally would not pay regular price for this, but a recent sale dropped this to $60 - I'd buy again in a heartbeat.

Great product. Barely fits 2 pair of wide skis but it fits ! Durable and easy to handle.

I love this bag. It looks really cool and my daughter loves it. I also purchased a matching back-pack boot bag. combined they look awesome together. The material is thick and durable. The zipper is much stronger than conventional, but still a weak point if you over stuff the bag, as you can sense the stress on the zippier connections. Overall I purchased this bag at a great price which easily accommodated my wife's 185 skis, my daughter's 175 skis, and a variety of gloves one helmet and a jacket rolled up for added padding.

It fitted 2 skis. Love the design and structure of the bag.First time used on a ski trip, handle with skin got ripped. Quality is terrible.

I've been using the same High Sierra ski bag for the past 12 years. It held up during many trips through the airport, and the only damage is a zipper pull broke off. I recently switched from a straight alpine skiing set up, to an AT set up for the increased time I've spent in the backcounty. I chose to use Fritschi bindings over Dynafit for my new set up for the added control if I do end up on groomed resort runs. Problem with the Fritschi bindings is they're very large, so they no longer fit in my old High Sierra bag. After researching a lot of ski bags, I chose to purchase the Athalon Padded Wheeling Double Ski Bag. It fit my new AT set up perfect, since the bag is larger to fit 2 pairs of skis. It won't hold 2 pairs with the size of my bindings, but that is what I expected when I purchased the bag. At first look, it seemed to be of good construction. The bag is fully padded, and seemed like it would protect my skis well. Bonus: it rolls and weighs under 7 lbs.It did protect my skis just fine, but the bag is of such poor quality, it will be completely unusable after the first and only use. The permanent carrying handle in the center of the bag tore away from the rest of the bag (and took the fabric it was sewn to), leaving gaping holes and the padding is now coming out. This happened on the way TO the airport, and was not caused by careless baggage handlers. There are also now 5 significant holes in the fabric, with one large enough that I was concerned my skis and poles would bust out of the bag during the flight home. My AT setup is actually significantly lighter weight than your average alpine set up, so I can't imagine this bag surviving with 2 pairs of alpine skis in it.The quality of a ski bag should be such that it can last many years of travel. I understand the occasional tear in exterior fabric, but this bag will not be able to be used for even a second time. Look at other manufacturers if you want a ski bag that will last, I unfortunately had to deal with this bag. Luckily the Amazon Marketplace vendor I purchased it from (Wayfair) gave me a full refund with no hassle.

Handle ripped on first use. Have stitched it back together and reinforced handles. Probably will not purchase this brand again.

We took this bag on a trip from Chicago > Seattle > Vancouver > Whistler Blackcomb, and back. We found that it travels very well, you can pack a ton of stuff in it and everything was well protected.PACKING:We packed 2 pair of skis, 2 pair of poles, 2 helmets, 2 ski pants, and a handful of other clothes in the bag. We laid the middle pad/flap thing down so that we could snug everything up. We put our ski pants "on" the skis to give them a bit more protection. In the end, we had about 45 pounds packed, just under regulation.FLIGHT:We took Southwest, and they tagged the bag with no questions. Even though their policy is 1 bag with 1 pair of skis and poles, and ours had 2 full sets plus more gear. I actually asked them and they confirmed it was no problem.TRAIN / AMTRAK:Amtrak's regulation is nothing over 75 inches. This bag is right at that length. It was not a problem on either of our train rides.BUSES:We took the bag on a few buses, and they checked it no problem.CABS:We took 2 cabs, and both had a fold down seat that allowed the cabbie to get it in.WALKING:The bag does obviously get heavy and is cumbersome, as it of course cannot help but be. But the wheels are very nice. Tip: If you have another normal size luggage bag with wheels, we found you can sit the front of the ski bag on the luggage, and wheel it around, piggy back. Very easy.Very happy with the bag.

Purchased the 190 cm version. Well constructed. Inner lining is a bit loose and might experience a tear with lots of use. Good straps and handles. The in-line skate style wheels roll well on pavement -- have not pulled it though mush or snow yet.Padding is adequate but could benefit from a denser foam. Inner pad to separate the two pairs of skis. We it use to transport 177cm and 190cm pairs of skis -- 190 cm skis barely fit (snug), a little extra length would make it easier to load the 190 cm skis.Bag is bit narrow when two sets of bindings push the perimeters of the bag.All in all, not a bad bag for a competitive price. Good boxing and shipping by Amazon vendor.
