These rings looked sturdy. The finish was poor or even missing in places. One of the screws to mount the ring to the rail was either too short or stripped. (I didn't bother to determine the fault). I returned these for a set of Arken rings which are a few dollars more and much better quality.

I like these rings. They look really strong and are pretty light but they are only for picatiny not weaver bases. This should be mentioned in the description. I had to send them back.

Been waiting to get my hands on these. I have several Athlon products and they have all met or exceeded expectations. These rings are no exception. They are exactly what I hoped for. Esthetically pleasing with dual torque screws to mount to rail. 4 torque screws per ring cap to ensure scope is held securely in place. I will be switching out all my cheaper rings as well as all the vortex rings I have. Just as the Athlon scopes are superior to Vortex scopes, these rings spank any of the vortex rings. Very satisfied. Now to take inventory and see how many sets i need to replace with these Athlon rings.

Purchased for a special purpose 26" AR, mounting a Sightron S-Tac 4-20x50 on a 0.5" extended riser. The low rings gave me about 0.25" of clearance above the rail, nice and low. However, upon opening to mount, discovered a single cap screw was missing. Luckily, the Aero Precision SPR mount I am swapping g out has the same length and thread bolts, so not a huge deal for me, but for others it could be a big deal.Other than that, fit and finish feels nice. Trued with the Wheeler Scope Ring lapping kit and got pretty even finish removal from the get go.
