This design improves on the original Pentair filter, which (if I were a cynical person) I would think are purposely designed to fail (wear through) every season. The design captures debris better, is easier to clean and is not prone to wear points like the OEM part, and comes with an extra to boot! The base is much tighter than the original, which takes a bit more effort to remove and replace, but that's a small price to pay in the end. Also much cheaper than Pentair OEM.

Got this to replace the brand name net for Pentair Kreepy Krawly pool cleaner. The Pentair net is about 4x the price of this one. Both the Pentair net and this one twist on itself during pool cleaning. Still I was going to give it 4 stars.However, Less than 6 months after purchase/installation the velcro tore it is no longer usable. So now I'm giving it one star.As an aside, I really dislike the Pentair Kreepy Krawly pool cleaner and when it goes bad (likely soon) I will replace it with a different brand. My old Polaris cleaned much better, and lasted years. And so did its net, which never twisted up like this.

This fits and functions great, possibly better than the original. I like how it almost has 2 compartments. We have lots of trees and it can hold a lot of leaves.A little disappointed that it only last about 7 months before it tore and became unusable. The durability just isn’t quite there. Will try another brand next.

I am using this on my Legend and had previously used the white ones that just twist on and open at the top with velcro. I didn't know what to do with this when I first got it. It really is better in some ways. It has too sections. The one section is where all the leaves go (hard to explain). Unfortunately, after I got on Legend which was difficult, I couldn't get it off to empty. I had to empty on Legend. Big hassle. Then I got a screw driver to help wedge it so I could get it off. I could tell that the plastic broke a bit and don't know how long it will last, but I have taken it on and off several times and hasn't completely broken yet. The price is the best part.

As someone who has owned several Legend and Platinum pool sweeps by Letro/Pentair for the last 20 years, I know my bags. I bought this one because it looked good, especially the $15 price tag. When I received it, I was skeptical about what I had purchased, it didn't have the same debris diverter system and I also didn't think the velcro that attaches to the hose was positioned in the right place. In fact, I had already figured that I would move it to a position on the bag that was more directly above the intake of the bag.Finally I decided to just put it on and let it run! So I lost $15, it was worth a try! Well, let me tell you after 3 weeks of every day operation the design works and works well! It made a believer out of me, I have to say.7/7/21 UPDATE: I'm buying another one as an extra to rotate. (I'm not even using the Pentairs anymore.) The throat of the bag is reinforced to stay open, the debris then falls in the back of the bag behind the sewn crescent shaped dart.
