Your cart is empty. ATP Transmission filters are designed to keep the transmission fluid clean and flowing consistently, as intended by the original manufacturer. This is achieved by matching the OE specification of particle filtration and fluid flow. Every transmission will eventually accumulate debris from normal wear and tear. It is critical that the transmission fluid is kept clean so that the valve body and other vital components do not become clogged making them in-operable. Made in Taiwan and no NTZ stamp.The center spool is very tight and the cloth wrap seemed loose.I put it on but will pick up an oem filter and change.

Takes a little pulling to break it loose. Cleaned up the area and put the new one in. Be careful putting the cap back on.

But good luck obtaining it cheaper in a timely fashion. All these filters are coming from the same offshore factories in what's known as "white box" packaging --- either in an unlabeled poly bag or actual unlabeled white box over which reseller places their own box or stickers. Worth about 1/3 what we paid for it.

I change this auxiliary transmission filter whenever I change engine oil and filter. Transmissions are thousands of dollars and this sure extends their life keeping the fluid Really clean

This is the same length as the OEM Motorcraft...that means you must use the cup and spring assembly that the Motorcraft filter uses. MAKE sure you use or the filter will not filter fluid properly. Often repair shops will use a NAPA or WIX filter instead of OEM. They are good filters but those filters are longer than OEM and you don't use the cup and spring. It's $40 from Ford if the shop didn't give it back to you! You might as well stay with the NAPA or WIX if you don't have the assembly.

The bottom plastic cap and spring fit very snug into the filter and the filter fit very snug into the top of the housing. This was an easy install without any issues.
