If you have calipers that are hard to push back this thing WILL bend. Also right out the box it wouldn't turn smooth almost like the thread was stripped waste of money

The pivot lock shoes on our Pella windows are showing their age and starting to break. Salesman wants us to buy new windows (current ones are only 10 years old). Pella want to charge $200 labour to replace 2-$3.00 lock shoes. Generic window jam spreaders start at $120. This little beauty cost less than $15.00 and worked like a charm. Make sure you lubricate the threads and the slide bar first and use electrical tape to wrap the paddles to prevent scratching of the vinyl. A great "work around"!

I bought two of these to spread open the window track on my vinyl windows to remove the spring and the sliding part of my double hung windows.A proper removal tool costs 129 but two of these for.less than $30 dollars plus I can use them for other things is a major win.

This worked perfectly for a brake job on a Harley touring bike. A friend asked for help replacing his brakes and I bought this tool to make things easier. It will work when I do the brakes on my jeep.

In general, this worked pretty well for opening the pistons on the front calipers of my car that would not allow use of my other Amazon purchased piston rewind compression tool Orion Motor Tech. The prongs that open the caliper piston are not made of high strength steel and do bend, but can be strengthened afterward with a hammer on a vise.

Surprisingly good quality brake piston spreader. I have used it on a set of dual piston caliper and single piston caliper and it did a great job resetting the pistons. The splays bend a bit when using the tool but return back flat after the tension is reversed. Should last many many brake jobs but might not hold up to daily jobs long term.

Great tool. I struggled with one of the front breaks on my car then ordered this tool. This spreader made the day. I highly recommend this quality tool that even a beginner will find easy to use. Best brake tool investment I’ve made.

The fit/finish on the parts is not at all smooth. For something designed to slide that's not the best and definitely leads to binding. That said, I tightened up the screws and heavily lubed the drive screw and sliding rod and it worked much better. Before that, it would bind up if you got much load on it. I'm pretty sure if you try to gorilla this thing it will snap, but I've done 3 vehicles with it and it's easier than a C-clamp.
