Made of sturdy plastic. Good product, but I would have preferred a larger diameter plug

The drain plug works great for my needs. Boat did not have a drain and this works well. Installed on aluminum boat.

Was super easy to install on my boat. I had to do a little work with a Dremel to flatten out the area on the stern a bit, but it dropped right in and now cleaning and draining my kayak is easy as can be now. I've had them for 7 years and have no idea why I haven't installed this sooner

Installed these in my Quest Angler Pontoon boat and the main thing I didnt like about them was the screws did not tighten in the plastic hull. So I ended up using 3M 5200 Marine Adhesive and gobbed it all around it. Hopefully they wont leak. I would recommend not using the screws that came with the plug and use tiny bolts or maybe a coarser screw.

I'm very satisfied with this drain. I put two in a kayak and was pleased with the result. When installing I used a 7/8 spade bit and it was a tight fit but worked well. I also used some silicone to make the seal water resistant because my surface was slightly curved so I didn't use the included seal.My only gripe would be that if you are installing this in a kayak be careful of the mounting screws protruding into the kayak. They are sharp and could easily puncture, tear or otherwise damage anything that brushed against them.

I was looking for a small drain plug for my 12ft aluminum boat, it had no drain plug so water would just collect at the bottom very fast. This plug worked great and after using it for a year, I do wish it was a bit bigger so that leaves didn't plug it easily. I might just remove the parts that keeps it from being removed completely to allow more draining. I knew the size and went for it, I am happy with it as it does what it was meant to.Construction, very strong and sturdy, no problem of it moving or bending as it's screwed in.It's a plastic drain, it does what you need it to do, make sure you understand its size before buying, get some good marine sealant and the job should be easy.

Added this to the rear of an Old Town Otter plus kayak that didnt' have a drain. I got the kayak as a secondary so my friends wouldn't have to rent/borrow to go on trips with me, and it was a very basic kayak (but cheap and stable). Added to the top just before the foam floats in the rear; it drains very well and easily. It does not drain all the water out, but that is bc I placed it high due to the foam packs. I solved the water issue with some car wash sponges under the seat to soak up what little water remains.Point is, it's a plastic drain. It seals well (I used marine sealant also), is easy to open/close, and was low priced. I do like the attached plug so that you won't lose it.
