Your cart is empty. In a world immersed in RFI/EMI interference we all need the sound of silence… Nothing makes an audio/video system more irritable than RFI interference- the bane of dynamics and clarity. To reduce the amount of RF interference entering your system we recommend “capping” all unused RCA and XLR inputs. You’ll be pleasantly rewarded with a blacker background, deeper soundstage, and a richer more satisfying overall experience.

I have an RCA subwoofer jack on my porch and deck. These caps protect those jacks from the weather.

Nothing wrong with protecting the inputs, or keeping the dust out, but noise reduction comes from shorting the positive and negative inputs together to cancel out any waveform which may be generated somewhere, typically inside the device. So no, these will not affect audio sound or quality at all, and they are not shorting caps as stated in the title. Look at others and you will quickly see what I mean.

Don't order it. You'll only get 4 caps. The item heading says, "Audiocrast 10x RCA Shorting Caps" but at the bottom it says, "Package:4pcs". Either it is deceptive marketing or a mistake, whatever. just don't order.

They have some variation in diameter, but no issue from it.

but I *do* think I hear a difference. It's minor, and possibly wishful thinking, but the noise floor seems lower. With that comes the usual benefits; more focused images, deeper stage, etc.The product is nicely made and, if nothing else, will keep the dust out. They're a bargain!

I previously reviewed these caps indicating they were too small and recommended purchasing higher quality Cardas caps. It turns out the Cardas caps are the same size. Apparently, Hegel, the manufacturer of my amplifier, enlarged the rca connectors. I can only assume they did this in order to ensure a snug fit for rca interconnects. Anyway, I just wanted to rewrite my review and clarify my previous review.

This RCA cover was purchased to cover RCA plugs for a DVD player. The DVD player plugs were dull and were looking old. The DVD player is mounted atop my SUV. The covers fit on nice and tight and give it a great look! Looks shinny chrome but it's not. Would recommend this item to anyone!
