The dealer (CarMax) just screwed the license plate directly to my "New to Me" car with NO frame over it. I got both the Aujen frame and the screw kit to protect my car's finish AND to make my new to me ride look better.The screw kit contains what I would describe as a cup with a hole in the center, for the screw, that protects not only the car but the plate from metal to metal contact. Then there's a 'cap' that SNAPS onto the cup thing I described to totally hide the screw's head. A little extra couple steps but the look is cool and clean.I highly recommend this product with FIVE STARS!

Replaced the ugly factory screws well, complimented the silicone frame very well also.

These screws worked well for the front of my car, where I have a fun plate (as a front license plate isn't required in my state). They look nice and are well painted.However, they wouldn't fit in my Michigan license plate's holes.
