I’ve used cable locks to secure my bikes for years without ever having my bike stolen. But, recently, two of my bike friends had their bikes stolen during the day in very public places when a thieves cut their cable locks, probably with bolt cutters. I knew then that I needed something more secure for my step-though ebike.I knew that U-locks were a great theft deterrent. But, because of the thickness of my bike’s downtube, I couldn’t find a U-lock large enough that would connect to most bike racks. I searched for another alternative. This lock has turned out to be a great solution. At first, it’s a little daunting figuring out just how to use it. But after you get used to handling it, it’s amazing how versatile it is. The build quality and robustness is excellent. I think a thief even with power tools would think twice before attempting to break it. Highly recommended.

When I lock up my bike with this lock, I feel confident that it will require much more than bolt cutters to remove. It's much heavier than a cable lock and more awkward to use, but the added security is worth it. I recently had a bike stolen that was secured with two cable locks from a well-known brand. The thief easily cut through both locks during the day on a very busy sidewalk. I believe this lock would be much harder to remove. My only issue with this lock is that the combo digits can be difficult to turn.

This bike lock is nice and heavy and it is relatively easy to change the code. It works well if you are just using it on your own bike. In my case though, hubby and I almost always cycle together and if we lock and leave the e-bikes we chain them together. This one is not able to do that because of it's shape and non-flexibility. If you're using it on a single bike though - it will be perfect. Easy to install, lock and unlock. Great item.

If you like this kind of lock (some do, some don't) I think it's a great option. I have two others like this that have keys and it's nice to have the combo and not worry about a key. I love that they store out of the way and I always have a lock whether I think I will need one or not. It's the standard length, which easily connects two bikes together or wraps around a small pole or bike rack. Thumbs up from me!

First of all, I really love how compact it is and to be able to install it up on my front fork, I think just looks awesome and it’s by far the most convenient place ive ever been able to install a lockIt does also look really bulky and secure which may improve its theft deterrentThe main main issue is that there’s been a lot of situations where it’s been tricky to maneuver to lock around on object for locking. Also, the combination numbers on the two ends can be a bit tricky to turn. But other than that, I’ve been really enjoying the lock and I will probably stick with it just because of how conveniently it stores on my bike.

This is a solid, heavy duty lock that weighs quite a bit despite its relatively small size. It’s definitely well suited for locking up bikes and electric scooters.I found it easy to set my own combination and I love not having to carry around a key for the lock - since those can be lost. The only issue you may encounter is that it is not as flexible as some chain locks, so depending on what you are locking your bike/scooter to, this can occasionally take some extra maneuvering.

Way better than the first $29.99 one that I bought, but somehow the combination changed when I tried to use it and I couldn’t figure out what the new combination was! This one is all steel and no plastic. The latch is way better. I think it will slow down anyone trying to cut it or break it.
