Buick Enclave 2019, start/stop is a minor annoyance and thought this would be a nice quick fix. The install was relatively easy, took less than 5-minutes once I was able to unhook the cable. That was probably the hardest part. After the piece was installed, unfortunately the check engine light came on and persisted. We had to remove the cable due to safety concerns. And for those reasons I'm out, and back to living with start/stop.

Appears to work on a 2021 Suburban. Must use small connector. 2 days with this installed and so far no error codes and auto stop is disabled. Had to take apart to see what it does. Just a resistor between two of the wires. You'll need a 15 Torx to remove the hood latch and a tool to remove the 9 connectors. Put this device between the connectors under the radiator top shroud. Took all of 30 minutes to install. Will update if it starts having issues.Update: What I have discovered is that around town driving it works perfect. If driving for a while (~30 minutes) it appears the start/stop enables again. It has only happened a couple times now but after driving on the highway for a bit and exiting, the suburban does turn off the engine at the next stop. Not a deal breaker as it still works the other 90% of the time.

I ordered this auto stop start disabler device for my 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. The auto stop start “feature” can be disabled by pressing a button on the interior console, but it’s mildly annoying to have to press the button every time I get into my car.Since this auto stop start disabler didn’t come with instructions, my husband had to find a video online to see how it should be installed. The installation only took about 2 minutes, but, once done, the car hood wouldn’t close. My husband removed the disabler, returned to the original configuration, and the hood still wouldn’t close. I restarted the car, pressed the auto stop button on the dash panel to disable the “feature” manually and was then able to close the hood.It’s possible that the disabler device would have worked if I had thought of pressing the button on the interior before the auto stop start device was removed. We plan on installing the device again in the future to see if the hood will close after pressing the button on the interior. This will also determine whether or not the device actually works. I’ll update this review after the device gets installed again.I’m giving this device 3 stars because I think it will probably work after it gets reinstalled and I disable the auto stop start using the button inside the car to get the hood closed.
