Same as many other reviews. In our 2023 subaru forester, all I had to do was open the fuse door, and clip the device inline with the existing wiring harness for the dreadful Auto Start-Stop button. Best of all, it sets it to default to off. So nice to get rid of that default setting!

Super easy to install, you dont have to use the pry tool as others mention. It's a little tricky to get your fingers in the door and unplug/plug everything, but worth it.This stops the annoying Start/stop function completely and permanently on my 2021 Forester.Excellent item, without having to hook up to the fusebox, like some other similar items.Highly reccomend

Works well. in several months I have had only one occasion where this device failed to disable this stupid on by default annoyance. took less than 15 minutes to install, and was plug and play, just unplug connector from switch and place this in line. No additional power lead required like I have seen on many similar devices. Can recommend without hesitation so far..

If it lasts it’s 5 stars and hopefully it does. Basic and simple. No fuse tap needed. Does one thing. Presses the button for you on startup. Is it worth it… I think it is… my brain cant comprehend to push the button every time I get in the car. Especially if I’m running in and out of stores, etc. 2024 forester with manual button (if I had to guess whoever said it doesn’t work has a touch screen button; I don’t even remember if the 11 inch screen was offered in this year)

Easy install. Just unplug the switch and install in line at switch. No wire splice or tap. Works great.

This was the perfect solution to latching the stop/start mode to on or off on startup at the push of the "A" button. Took 5 minutes, after seeing videos available (youtube "Auto Start Stop Eliminator" by Matthew Heiskell). It has no fuse tap to deal with like some other models.Note: in order to make ends of adapter more flexible, easier to bend and to reduce wire strain, I removed excessive wraps of the black tape on both ends of adapter. You could use the removed tape around module body to protect it, but I used a wide piece of fiberglass tape I had.Procedure for 2023 Forester (some other years/models may differ):Put a pillow or pad over door sill to protect yourself, while laying on side.Remove fuse door by popping off and shine a flashlight up into panel hole.Using long nose plier end, push up locking tab of white connector in "A" switch, while pushing connector out of switch.Push white connector of adapter into now empty socket of A switch, until it latches.Connect the removed white connector into grey connector of adapter, until it latches.Push body of module into void on left.Replace fuse door.Enjoy latched default mode of "A" being on or off at a push of button!

Had to take the side panel off then the switch panel off. Instructions can be seen on youtube. Very easy only 2 minutes. Then very easy to pull the switch lever back to remove the wiring plug. Easy to insert the eliminator. Works great on my 2019 XV-S.

I’m super happy with this little wiring pigtail that disables the annoying auto start/stop on my 2019 Subaru Forester. I was able to install the wiring in minutes and didn’t even need tools! I was able to remove the fuse box door and pop the wiring connector off the switch (little tab on the white connector in photo). The wiring pigtail causes the auto start/stop to be disabled by default each time the engine starts up so you never need to remember to push a button every time you drive.

Purchased a used 2019 Forester. Love the vehicle, absolutely hate the Start Stop engine system. The unit was easy to install, and it worked to cancel this system. However, it doesn't allow me to restore this function at all - which is just fine with me.
