AutoBot J1772 to Nacs Charger Adapter, 80Amp for Tesla Charger Adapter Model 3/Y/X/S, Fast Charging, Compatible with SAE J1772 Charger:We got this adapter for our new Tesla, as we wanted a spare adapter, in adition to the one Tesla supply, so we could leave the original in the car and use this one for charging at home (99.9% of our charging). We are an EV only household now, and our main 'workhorse' commuting vehicle, and first EV, is a Hyundai Kona which is J1772, so the level 2 charger we purchased a few years ago (MUSTART 40A 9KW) doesn't have a nacs plug.We've used this adapter several times now. It fits onto the J1772 plug of our level 2 charger perfectly. It's snug, but doesn't require Herculean strength to separate it from the J1772 plug. We haven't noticed any difference in charging speed, or heat, or any difference between this and the original, Tesla, adapter.

It has been fine so far. It isn't the most substantial, but it isn't flimsy either. It's easy to plug in on each side and I have had no issues with its functionality. It's easy to stow in the trunk or in the frunk and doesn't weigh a ton, so it is a simple and important accessory to keep with you.

Received this via the Vine program and I'm glad I ordered it. As a new Tesla owner, I didn't think of needing an adapter at first, but happy I did have one as I needed it a lot sooner than I thought. It was easier to put on the charger in a parking garage I found. Wasn't sure what to expect regarding the ease of use as I've read for other charge adapters, it broke off or was cheaply made. Fortunately, this is not the case for this adapter and I would purchase if I had to.

So disappointed, when I properly released the charger from the J1772 side, the entire interior of the adapter stayed with it, leaving the NACS side separated from the J1772 portion, pins exposed and everything. I've never had this issue with any other adapters, not once. Stay away from this adapter.
