Went to put it on and would not work. Tool it off and found that the needle valve was not correct.

Perfect fit. Ready to go. Bought this to replace a different brand, brand new carb that had a float design issue causing it to starve for fuel. This one was perfect.

Take the top off the new carb and don't use it. Reuse your old carb top, choke and slide. Screw the old top to this carb, turn the air screw out 1 turn and bump the idle a hair. That's it. Took me less than 10 minutes to install and it idles and runs like new. It's that simple.

The cable line necks at the top of the carb are too long, therefore your original cable lengths are too short and won’t work. Cables run out of adjustment. Metal tube was bent too much and constricted the inside diameter so the cable ball end won’t fit through the inside of the metal tube.

Please do not waste your time buying this junk carburetor I never listen to the reviews and just order it but please take my advice after I put it on I rode the bike for less than an hour and it started dumping fuel out of the over flow so just save yourself the hassle of this cheap junk and buy a rebuild kit for the oem carb or buy a oem carb new this carb is awful.

I tried to use this carburetor to replace the OEM Mikuni Carb on my Yamaha QT50 moped after reading a review from another buyer. This carb looks as well made as the OEM carb- Maybe even better made, with a spring style float needle valve and brass needle valve seat. It fit fine but did not work correctly on my machine. My QT50 would start and idle fine, but I could not get any power out of the machine no matter how I adjusted the carb. I tried various combinations of parts from the OEM Mikuni carb and this carb, various throttle needle positions, etc., following (as best I could) the service manual adjustment instructions. Got the same results in several configurations - the bike wouId start, but had no power. I ended up cleaning up the original Mikuni carb and replacing its' float, float bowl and float bowl gasket with the parts from this carb. (The old Mikuni float was bad and the bowl leaked. The spring loaded float needle was not compatible with my OEM Mikuni carb, unfortunately, or I would have replaced that, too.) I then adjusted carb using the service manual instructions and it worked perfectly! It may have been possible to get this carb to work in my application, but I am happy with the original carb with replaced parts from this one so am stopping my investigations and saving the unused parts for backup.I purchased this new carb because I really didn't want to do the work of cleaning out my old one and then fixing its float problems. I ended up doing that anyway, using parts from this item. Since the parts ended up working, I am only knocking off one star....

Works great with minor adjustments to Air/ Fuel screw. I used my old top set, Throttle spring, & choke spring. I used the new carb slide & needle unadjusted. I also used the new choke plunger that came with the new carb. The carburetor came unbranded. Came with minor damage to fuel inlet. Bent it back to get the fuel inlet all the way open. Still has sharp edges from the casting that may need further finishing. Luckily this did not effect the operation of the carburetor. It works great. My machine started right up and just minor air fuel adjustments and it’s running great! Installed on my 86 Yamaha 4 Zinger 60.

The plunger for the choke wasn’t completely finished in the machining process . You couldn’t hook up the choke cable . I tried to use the plunger out of the old carburetor but it wouldn’t fit . I hade to use a hacksaw blade to finish cutting a slot in the plunger so that I could hook up the choke cable . After I did that , it worked well. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone !!!!
