When I see this tester I was thought you used the pins to test the fuse while it was in the car thinking that it would be a fast why to check a fuse. Turns out not the intended use and it's too large to get it in the fuse box. But it wanted to see if it would work while in the car with voltage so I setup a test rig on the workbench with a a 12 volt power source. While a good fuse was connected in a circuit it could detect a good fuse vs a bad fuse. The light would only light up when a good fuse was installed. I figured when the fuse was bad it would light the LED from the car/power supply voltage but it doesn't. I even tried different polarity. So someone did put some thought it to making it. Great tool to keep in the glove box or tool box.

I got this to figure out of my fuse box was acting up or I'd it was a radio issue. This helped me figure out my fuse and fuse box were fine and it was a radio issue. Worth the money and good quality.
