Easy Installation:
- No need to replace any parts, and no welding or drilling required.
Installation Steps:
Step 1: Clean the tailpipe surface.
- Clean off dirt and sand on your tailpipe using penetrating oil and a shop rag.
- (Make sure your tailpipe is room temperature. Do not clean surface immediately after the car stalls).
Step 2: Slide the exhaust tip into your tailpipe.
- Try to slide the exhaust tip into the tailpipe. When sliding, you may encounter some resistance. If necessary, use automotive grease to lubricate the pieces.
- Cover the end of the exhaust tip with a towel and tap it into a place with a rubber mallet.
Step 3: Fasten/weld the exhaust tip.
- Secure the exhaust tip by tightening screws and clamps. To make even tighter, weld a joint between the edges of the tailpipe and exhaust tip.
- Installation is complete.

Got this for my 2016 Duramax that has a 4" aftermarket exhaust. Originally it had a chrome 6" outlet tip. Just to flashy for me an I wanted a smaller outlet not a giant trash can hanging there... I bought a returned one from this seller for half off. Shoot for less then 20 bucks it came and looked brand new never opened an it fit great and looks much better. The paint seems like it's decent. Time will tell.. It's a truck so... But would recommend for sure..

Great fit and finish on my 01 powerstroke 7.3, sounds really nice, but the little nut on the clamp has very small tack welds on it and one broke while I was test fitting it, not a big deal at all to me since I plan on welding it on after I get my exhaust hanging like I want but just a heads up for some body without the knowledge or a welder, but for a tip that is 40 to 50$ cheaper than name brand and for it to fit and look so good, I'd buy it again any day of the week.
