Upon receiving I installed on my Yamaha F70 outboard, and it fit without modifications. I pushed down on the lower unit to feel the compression on the block, it felt very sturdy. I bought this after learning that the tilt stop was only for servicing the motor and not towing. This will greatly reduce pressure on the tilt hydraulic cylinder.

Worked well and was easy to cut to size on my bandsaw. Like the red color as it helps me to remember to remove before lowering the motor.
