The stick's round wood bead and beefy neck stand up to aggressive playing styles. This stick also features great throw and balance.

I've been drumming for over 40 years, and am an accomplished non-pro. While I've made money playing - it's not my day job. For most of those 40 years - I played Promark 5B's - a very -popular and high-quality stick. I thought I loved them. But a pair of these Zildjian TB's appeared in my stick bag one day - I think they came with a pile of stuff I bought from my buddy when he quit drumming to focus on playing "the stick".I tried them out and was shocked by the weight difference. Not only are they longer and heavier than the 5B's - the weight is biased much more forward toward the shoulder of the stick. The bounce and control I suddenly had was amazing. And the weight made my timing more accurate. For the first time in my career I was consistently burying the metronome (playing so "in the pocket" that you never hear the click track). This is just one players experience and this review is as much about the transformation a DIFFERENT stick had for my playing - than about the stick itself - but I urge you to try these as soon as you can - just in case the same benefits appear for you.As for the actual stick - the pair I got were within ONE gram of each other at 63 and 64 grams - and totally straight. They are slightly HEAVIER than the original pair I got from my buddy and that was easily 10 years ago - so they aren't scrimping on the wood. The white ones have an odd - but possibly useful slight texture to them - my older black ones are smooth. Yes the fancy, but poorly applied shiny logo paint will fade off if you play them long enough - but that just makes them all "rock and roll". ; )No clue about longevity yet - but these will only play a V-drums kit for the foreseeable future and so no cymbals means infinite life - likely.Highly recommended.

These were a gift for my son, he is percussion in band. He has a stick shelf in his room and collects different sticks, these look great.

Die besten drumsticks die ich je hatte. Zwar hinterlassen sie weiße Stippen auf den Becken aber das ist bei weißer Lackierung normal.

These sticks rock. I usually play with 7A (on punk kit)so thought they might be to big. I love the tapper the bead, the balance I felt right away. Great rim shots that are placed higher on the stick due to the neck being more thick then I'm used to. Overall great and also are helping my chops by using a slightly larger stick but the balance once again is very nice so the weight isn't felt as much as I excoriated.

I borrowed my friend's Travis Barker sticks a while back and they felt really good. I'm a fan of heavier sticks with round tips. I liked the coating as it gave me a better grip for my skin.. which really sweats! However it looks like Zildjian have changed the coating on these sticks.. Before it was more shiny, and gave excellent grip if your hands were dry, but got slippery as your hands start sweating. The new coating, albeit still white, is more of a 'matte' finish, and although a little bit less grippy with dry hands, the grip maintains and slightly improves with increased hand moisture. So if you need to play loud, solid rock drumming, I would recommend these sticks. However, that's not to say they're no good for lighter, jazzy playing. The build quality appears to be good. My current playing involves a lot of snare rim shots. Every stick is going to start to develop 'splits' where the stick strikes the rim.. however it looks like the wood is strong enough in these sticks to prevent a quicker-than-you-would-like shear across this split region.Of course some of the white coating comes off on your cymbals, but who really cares about that.Edit:I've decided to edit this review as my recent experience with these sticks was not good.Firstly, I've realized that no, the white coating does not help the grip when the hands become sweaty. It makes the grip far worse. The sticks were constantly slipping out of my hands and my playing quality reduced substantially. My solution to this was to use sandpaper to sand off the coating, after which the sticks had good grip!Secondly, I'm not as happy with the durability of the sticks since a large chunk of wood split off one stick about half-way down where the splits had developed from rimshots.

the thing with these sticks, youve got to be patient with them. they will mark up on your cymbals and you will be frusterated....i was lucky because i had a first act cymbal that all of the paint went on. i got new cymbals and the drumsticks lost all of their paint with my previous cymbal so it ended up great. the sticks do get shredded but i play real hard and i break sticks at least once a month. these sticks have been going good for me for at least 5 months. when i break some sticks, i play with these until i get replacements. they dont chip or splinter like all the others i use. extremely good endurance, pretty good handling, the only negative part is that the white paint will get on your cymbals so if you can manage to get the paint off then these will be fantastic. if you get these sticks to look good then youll be dissapointed, these are sweet looking sticks but the paint will fade away because these wont break very soon. these are also pretty heavy, not recommended for jazz drumming
