The overall size of the box is about perfect but the usable space inside is far less. The corners are rounded so flies put in the corners get their hackles caught, or even lose a wing. For a day on the water with a small selection it's perfect. But not as functional as an overall storage container, thus 4 not 5 stars.

I was looking for a smaller case too hold my flies and stumbled upon this. I am familiar with the Aventik brand, and am very happy with one of their Tenkara rods that I use often. This case is excellent. My other cases have foam inserts. This has a siliconized rubber material which I prefer. The size is perfect. Holds plenty of flies, but doesn't take up a lot of room. It's great for just throwing in my pocket for a quick run upstream. The latches hold securely and it has a nice rounded shape overall which feels great in a pocket.

Box seems nice, other than having arrived with a broken cover on one side leaving it less than waterproof to say the least.
