I bought this grinder in July of 23 worked great. Now the battery is junk will not take a charge I’ve tried everything under the sun to get it working again and nothing. So word to the wise STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRAND batteries are junk. Very dissatisfied with the product. 👎👎👎👎

Battery life is lacking. I used it maybe 10 minutes sharpening the blades on my lawn mover and when I stopped it showed only one bar left.THe battery chargers and batteries also aren't compatible with other products from the same manufacturer. These aren't like the Ryobi ONE+ batteries that you could swap from one tool to another- unfortunately.Also, they only provided one battery with this tool, while I read for other tools they toss in two batteries.They are probably aware of the shortcomings of their batteries and wanna make up for them in advance- less negative reviews that way.I like the price and cuts/grind well but just be aware of the above.Long term review coming when I've used it for months.

We had a situation with a bunch of old bicycles in an area we needed to clean up, and unfortunately a lot of broken down bikes still had locks that we could not cut off, this grinder did the trick. It was portable, and it lasted for hours for the project we needed. The cordless option made it easy to navigate, and over all, great value for a small grinder with a lot of power.

Don’t like the inability to get a spare battery, and don’t like that the one it came with runs for less than 10 seconds. Every time I charge it. For multiple days.

This grinder comes with 5 wheels, 1. Grinding Wheel, 2. Cut-off Wheels, 2. Sanding Wheels. It has a 20V 4.0AH battery and charger. It works perfectly. I used it to cut the bolt off an old lawnmower I have as a test run. I don't like battery operated tools but I need this for my job where electric isn't supplied. This tool has a lot of power. I was really impressed. Shipping was fast and it came packaged very well. A box in a box with with bubble wrap. If I had to I'd order this item again.

I've wanted a cordless grinder for a while now to supplement the corded one I have. A must for field work and as everyone knows these are beasts for cleaning up welds. As others have mentioned getting the extra batteries is stupidly hard. I also have a cordless Avid impact wrench, the red one, purchased 10/2021. I wanted a spare battery for that at the time and after returning a couple that didn't fit I finally got one from Avid that worked. Before purchasing the grinder I put out a question on product Q & A and was assured the spare battery I already had would work although it is 3ah instead of 4ah. Fingers crossed, I ordered the grinder and it worked with my batteries. Now have two tools and three batteries to share., but what a hassle. Best advice I can give is get your info/question/problem in the Q&A and hope a knowledgeable seller picks up on it.I'm not giving any of the part numbers because Avid is specific about versions of batteries available based on tool model number and manufactured year.

Just starting using 15 mins solid at a time. Now it shuts off after 5 seconds. Could be overheat cutout but not sure. No number to call for support. Will return if it continues to act this way.Update: it was the battery. Had to charge and start again
