I think this is a pretty cool tool. I found it easy to use. I was able to cut some cross slices in the avocado half, and then slide the slicer through the avocado and in a matter of seconds had a bunch of even slices. It was easy to use and easy to rinse off after. I don’t think I have sliced an avocado that fast. Overall I think this is a nice product.

I saw this Avocado peeler and since I love Avocados but peeling them I thought I would give it a try. To be fair the avocado I bought was not in the softer range so that may have contributed to my lack of impression. First off the blade is not really sharp enough to cut the peel to take it off of the avocado and struggled to actually get it cut in half. The little cutter part of the peeler did not do a very good job slicing the avocado, assuming that is what it is for, as it is simply not sharp enough and it is plastic, so there is that. I don't dig out the seed in the half it is still lodged in after you cut the avocado in half and frankly thought that would just cause a mess, though that is wat is suggested on the listing.I normally cut the avocado in half and then twist the halves in opposite directions and the seed is released from one half of the avocado. After that I take a butcher knife and strike the seed with enough force to make the blade stick into the seed and then use the knife to twist it and out it comes. I don't scoop the good stuff out of the skin. After I get the seed out I make two slices along the length of the avocado from top to bottom using a serrated steak knife and get ahold of the top and just peel the skin off one of the slices at a time. I then place it on a cutting board, face down, and slice it length wise starting with the piece laying against the cutting board, slicing from one side of the avocado to the other, so I end up with slices of the avocado that go from one side of the avocado half to the other. Kind of a pain, but I get nice large slices for my sandwich.This is clearly something this peeler will never be able to accomplish, so I guess I will just continue with my tried and true way until something better comes along that will produce the same result.
