Awful. Not dishwasher safe as the description claims. Used it less than a handful of times. Fell apart. Poorly constructed.

I've used this device twice now. The first time, I was expecting nice slices but the cutting wires wouldn't go through the avocado flesh, and I ended up with lumpy mush. I blame this on the avocado though; the lumps of avocado were tough, this was a very unripe fruit. I waited 2 days and tried it again with a riper avocado. Success! The device is super easy to use. The seed popped right out (in both the firm and ripe avocado). If you just need to get the flesh out and don't care if you get nice slices or not, it's still a great tool. It gets almost all the goodness out the first time, without fighting with a slippery pit.

My wife loves avocados on her salads but totally avoids them because she hates cutting them up. I happened to run across this gadget so thought I'd pick it up to see how it would work and if it would be easy to use. This gadget is definitely pretty nifty, just watch your fingers because it is very sharp on the metal end. This took a little getting used to to hold it, and the avocado, correctly. Once we got that figured out, it was very easy to use. Simply cut the avocado, scoop the pit out with the green end, then you can cut your avocado in strips or smaller pieces by running the metal/slicer end one or both ways then dumping it right out. It is 100% faster than hand cutting it and my wife loves it. She's now enjoying avocados on all of her salads because of this nifty gadget. We're super happy with it!
