Works very well once installed. Made a huge difference in the heater's performance. However, note that the runsdirectly out of the package ( dry, never wet with kerosene). As such it wouldn't fit in the heater. try getting it in kerosene 15 min, and letting it re-dry a little. Then retry.

You have to cut part of the strings where the gears are to make it work. By the time I got it all figured out. The wick itself was all messed up and my gears were not spinning anymore. So now I have to fix the gear on a 1930ish heater... but the wick is in it. Lol be smarter than me. Cut the strings first.
