3rd lamp replacement for my projector works like a dream was honestly kinda scared I blew the one I paid $160 on before this by accident, but it was already at the end of its life no bulb was coming on inside and was scared that I might have damaged the internals, unboxed, installed, hooked back up to the ceiling crossed fingers booted on and BOOM light instantly came on inside and my heart felt at ease! Now to enjoy my new bedding and continue on with my life will definitely be stocking up here soon!

I purchased this lamp after the OEM lamp in my Optoma HD28HDR died after about 4000 hours. Well, the first one of these lasted about 15 minutes. The second, also 15 minutes. I'm going to order a more reputable one this time.

Firstly, I will say I had issues with my initial bulb and it did not work however, they were very quick and helpful in getting me a new bulb out which is why it is getting 3 stars.Onto the now, I purchased this bulb on 06 June 2022 and had to replace the bulb on 09 February 2023. I did forget to get the hours off of my projector however, inbetween those two dates is 249 calendar days. Lets just say I had the projector on for 8 hours a day for those 249 days you get 1,992 hours.249 X 8 = 1992I mean I guess you can say I pretty much reached the 2,000-3,000 hours limit by rounding up but TBH I did not have the projector on that much but giving the benefit of the doubt since I did not check the hours before resetting them. The lamp does work and is good but just make sure you have a backup lamp just in case this one doesn't last long. Also keep in mind that not all lamps will be the same. My original lamp lasted roughly 5ish years before I had to replace it.

Works fine for my Optima HD143x 1080p projector. Popped out the old one and this one fit right in. Not problems or alterations needed. Only concern I did have was the power connector. It did not fit as snugly as the original and I felt it may be able to slip off since my projector is mounted upside down to the ceiling. I just took off the one that came with this replacement bulb and put on the original connector from the burned out light. Super easy resolution to the minor problem.

The electrical connector for this lamp does not lock into place and is loose. 15 minutes after installing the lamp in my Optoma HD27e projector I smelled a burning wire/plastic. I immediately turned it off, took it down from the ceiling to inspect. I discovered that the lamp electrical connector melted and fused to the projector connector. (see pictures). I'm not 100% certain the cause of the electrical issue, but my assumption is it is directly related to this lamp. The projector connector is ruined and now must be replaced. I've asked Awo-Lamps to pay for the replacement projector lamp cable, but their reply was "Hello dear , i am so sorry to hear the matter, i didn't get this complaint from other customer before, i don't know why will this happen, would you like me send you a new replacement lamp?" After reading the respond it was evident that they did not read my message or understand it. I also sent multiple pictures along with my reply. I don't typically write comments, good or bad, but felt I should write this one because this was a potential safety/fire hazard. I have kids and they love playing Fortnite on the projector. If you've had a good experience with this company or this product I certainly understand, but I primarily wanted to share because of the safety issue.I sent a follow-up message to the company after their initial reply, but haven't heard back. I only want the projector lamp connector cable replaced at their cost. I have reached out to Optoma for an estimate to replace the cable. If this company replaces the projector cable I will write a follow-up post to describe the customer experience. As you can read I'm not please at the moment.Be careful if you are installing this lamp and mounting on the ceiling. The connection is loose and I THINK that may have caused the electrical issue. Do not mount upside down.Sincerely,I Miss My Projector

Bulb works well and is the same brightness as OEM. There is a small issue with the plug: the included plug did not match the OEM plug. We reused the existing plug.

Our original lamp on our Optoma HD141X exploded at 3,725 hours. This was the only option that we could get next-day, so we took a chance and WOW. With this replacement bulb, the projector is brighter and more vivid than we ever remember it being. Maybe it was just because our old bulb was getting dim at 3,725 hours, but either way we are super satisfied with this purchase.Install took only a couple minutes; the brightness, contrast, and colors are all way better than before the explosion. I can chime in on longevity later but right out the box it’s great!

So far so good. it came extremely well packaged in a box that had foam rubber lining. Had everything I needed to install it which in my case was only two screws and it went right in perfect fit. Seemed to be just as bright as the original. if it does not last I will update this review But don't be afraid to buy it
