One grip worked perfectly, other grip had a zipper that would separate, pull apart. Wouldn’t stay zipped. Possibly a defective zipper from the factory? Nice thick grip, bad zipper.

I have a Wilderness Systems paddle that does come apart into two pieces, but not via the typical button joint. Instead, the paddle has a pressure clip that is too wide for most paddle grips to fit over.When I ordered these, I wasn’t certain they would provide enough comfort over the thicker set I have on my other standard paddle, however, that concern proved invalid.I’d also read a few reviews where people said these got hot. I have not had that experience at all. My entire shaft is black, so that was a risk.These grips went on with little effort. I did ask for help getting the zipper started on one of them, but it wasn’t absolutely necessary, it was just easier.Provided your paddle fits the circumference, these are great option.

Just what I needed. No more blisters when padding gloves get wet. Easy off & on. Does not get hot in sun either.

These zipped up quite easily. Was able to remove them & place on another paddle. Gave 4 stars as I still got blisters on my thumbs. But were effective in keeping a good grip on my paddle- especially when an alligator crossed my path!

Very pleased with the silicone grips. Previously had spongy grips that when wet irritated my hands. These grips do not cause irritation. Very pleased

These grips were perfect size for the two-blade Quest kayak paddle I use. They zipped up easily and felt good at the start of a multi-hour kayak trip.However, it was 90 deg F ambient temperature and the grips got hot really fast in the sun, causing blisters on my fingers. I dipped the paddle in the river to cool the grips; then they slipped up and down the paddle shaft making it difficult to negotiate some rapids. I’ve unzipped the grips and set them aside for fall/winter/spring kayak trips, hoping they keep my hands warm while staying in place without using glue.
