I didn't know what to expect since this is a sleeping bag liner and I hope it serves the purpose that I need it for. The liner is well made and the material is lightweight-you can see light through it. I am a driver and sometimes when waiting for events to end, I sit outside on my bus. I wanted something lightweight that I could snuggle up in to keep warm on those evenings ehem the temps drop. Though this is thin, it will allow me to remove my shoes and it will cover more of my body without exposing my blanket to the dirty floor. I will be using this soon so I hope it does what I want it to.

This sack is reported to add additional warmth to your sleeping bag and I can well believe it does. As I slipped into it right away I started feeling noticeably warmer. This was indoors by the way.I will soon take this out on a camping trip in cooler weather with the intention of carrying a lighter and more compact bag plus this sack, instead of a more bulky, and also more expensive bag. I will update this review to let you know how it works out.The sack itself is well made, with no loose stitching, and the material is a little stretchy and quite breathable. They have kept it simple by making it just a sack, no snaps or zippers to get jammed or make it heavier. I like that.To pack it away, you just fold it in thirds lengthwise and roll it up. You can also just fold it repeatedly and that is how it comes in the bag, but my way makes it more compact and is easier to deploy inside a tent. You just grab one end and pitch it to unroll.Nice product with a lot of promise, let's see how it works out.

We all may joke about how many tags are on a pillow., etc., but the lack of any type of label whatsoever on a textile based product means it is not complying with a basic requirement of sales of products in the USA. Without it consumer has no idea as to care, and no idea as allergies or sensitivities, no idea as to whether the material is suitable for planned use. Planned use would include whether it is appropriate for camping sleeping bag liner, since some materials will absorb humidity and some will shed it. Also some materials are a lot more flammable than others. So this has no materials or care tag. What I can tell you is this:1) it is a bit short. If you are 5"3 and have a short mummy bag it will be ok. If you are 5'10" it will be short2) there is no side zipper. Our other mummy liner has a side sipper that goes 3/4 of the way down as do most. This is very inconvenient3) this weighs a whopping 1.5lbs. Meaning for camping wiht car nearby it is ok, but for hiking type camping it is very heavy for what it is.4) Everything is single stitched, meaning lower expected durability, especially when washing (which is much of the point of such a liner.)5) it comes with no nylon compression sackOverall value? -- cost matters to many and for the cost -- this is a decent value.

First things first, I am a combat arms veteran of OIF. I also live in the PNW and backpack a lot. This mummy bag insert is comfortable, not waterproof, but reasonably increases your temperature rating. I use a recon sleeping bag system I had in the military. I used the green one which is rated to -5 C or 23 F for this test. The outside temperature was 28 F and I was sleeping under the stars. The insert made me feel warmer but lacks in comfort/true heat. I donât think this is remotely as close to some of the other inserts like the sea to summit. The price is also a fraction of those but I would recommend this for 3 season but not 4. It is not a true cold weather insert. Nonetheless itâs a good product and you wonât be disappointed.

I brought this on a recent winter camping trip. Having an extra layer in my sleeping bag helped keep me warmer during the below freezing nights. This liner matching the shape of my mummy bag also means that I had extra insulation around my head and the ground. In addition this is significantly easier to wash than my sleeping bag and I imagine that using this I will probably be able to get double the time between washes, if not more.

This goes great in my mummy bag, makes it just a tad bit warmer or leaving it unzipped for warmer weather. It fit perfectly in my 32° bag from F and S.

So I didn't even know that sleeping bag liners existed until a few weeks ago, so I was delighted at the opportunity to try one this summer when I camp. A liner, if you don't know, is a great way to add warmth to your sleeping bag, which is a must for me since I get cold easily. It also means that you can easily clean the liner and the sleeping bag itself is kept cleaner on the inside. The liner is lightweight and so very soft.
