Attention, parents and covert operatives! If you're looking to instill some serious tactical prowess in your little one right from the start, look no further than the Dinictis Tactical baby carrier. I initially ordered this piece of gear as a gag, but much to my surprise, it’s turned out to be better quality than expected in the infant-carrying arena. This carrier is relatively lightweight and constructed from breathable materials that are soft for those areas closest to a baby's skin. Unlike some flimsy carriers that look like they were designed by a team of spaghetti engineers, this carrier isn't just several thin nylon straps holding everything together. Instead, it has padding in all the right places, including lumbar support that effectively helps mitigate back strain during those extended missions when you need to stay strapped w/ baby in tow. It seems quality enough that I do not question its durability unless you need to carry your infant through a war zone--in which case this will keep your hands free to arm yourself . . . w/ essential baby supplies, bottles, pacifiers, or whatever. This carrier has some adjustability, but I found it challenging to find the perfect fit, possibly due to my petite build and shorter torso. Once I strapped in my baby cargo, things didn’t quite “sit” right. Comfort-wise, it’s not the best for prolonged operations, especially for a self-identified klutz like myself. I struggled trying to juggle both baby and carrier while needing to flip, position, and secure the carrier appropriately. I did find the little sunhat tucked a cute touch, albeit not especially effective to provide actual protection due to the design. The product description claims the carrier can support up to 33-lb toddlers, on which I'm a tad skeptical, but, hey, I suppose we shall see!I’m holding out hope that with enough practice (and some much-needed muscle memory—goodbye, groggy baby brain!), this carrier will become easier to use over time for quick getaways. Until then, I might find myself eyeing other carriers or transportation methods that offer a little more adaptability for those occasions where I just want to strap up quickly and get moving.

Worked very well, my son is a big guy that's been working out and it still had room to grow with his baby girl.

As first-time parents, I didn't realize that having his and hers baby carriers would be a thing. Well, in this household, apparently it is. My husband decided the carrier I had wasn't "dad" enough and he wanted his own. He says this one is "tacticool" and he loves wearing our daughter around in it. So far, everything about this carrier exceeds expectations. It's very comfortable to wear and also supports the baby correctly. The one that we received is a little different than the one in the photos in the listing and in the instructions it came with. It looks like they made an improvement on the way it crosses in the back and it's a plus! The one we received crosses in the back and has a circle padded portion that the crossed straps go through. It's an excellent upgrade as it distributes the weight where the straps cross. The "M" position where the baby sits has adjustability, and you can make it narrower depending on your baby's age. Our daughter was 3 months old when we started using this and is now 4 months old, and we've been able to adjust accordingly. She is around 15 pounds with good head control and wants to face out, but in this carrier the height of the front support doesn't allow it yet. We can chalk that up to baby FOMO and I feel that by 6 months, her height and stability will allow front-facing.This carrier feels very high-qualiry and durable, and will last through our current baby (and any that come after).

This Dad Baby Carrier for Newborn to Toddler by Dinictus is just what my son-in-law needs to take his newest arrival around in style. It will fit an infant that weighs 8 lb to 33 lb, and it is sturdily built for long-term use. So after our current grandson has outgrown it, it can be passed on for the next child in need. This might be one of the most comfortable, if not the most comfortable, child carriers I've ever seen. The waist belt is very wide at both the front and the back, plus it expands a LOT for those daddies who had a "sympathetic pregnancy". It also has wide shoulder straps that are very padded, and they cross over on the back for better weight distribution. There is a lot of flexibility with how this carrier can be positioned. For smaller infants, the waist belt can sit up higher, so that babies head and neck can be supported by the sun cover panel. When baby grows enough to face forward, the sun cover panel can be folded down and snapped into place to make more room.Even the leg openings have a good bit of padding around them, and the side straps insure that the little one cannot fall out sideways. This carrier meets all safety requirements set forth by both the ASTM and CPSIA, and going by how well it is built, likely exceeds them. The outer fabric is all cotton, and definitely eye catching with its camouflage design. It is also machine washable, although the manufacturer does suggest putting it in a laundry bag first. When I ordered this baby carrier it was selling for $119, but today it is on sale with a 30% coupon off that price. Since it is honestly the best built baby carrier I've ever seen, I think even at regular price it's a fair value. After all, it is so practical and sturdy that it could be used many times over for different kids.
