Washed before first use, washed and dried well. Not super thick, so I wouldn't exclusively use it on hard floors, but works fine over carpeted areas or on a rug. Cute design.

who ever is saying it's thick is complety wrong .showed up complety flat . baby would get seriously hurt if they fall. barely any more padding then a bed comforter. im gonna have to buy another thick pad to use instead . there's also a review about waterproof ?? Wrong also . dont expect more than a fluffy blanket when ordering.

Cushion is thick enough for a playpen if child falls they will be okay my 4yr old and 9 month old have tested it out enough lol

It's thick but the Color is an pink not white like it has in the picture I have an little boy so it's an little upsetting for 30$ it should look like the picture

This mat is great for so many possibilities. It has practical indoor uses as a play room floor or a crib base. It really is waterproof. I've witnessed plenty of kids spills, and nothing soaks in, which makes this even better as it can protect your floor/carpet from those messy moments that are inevitable with children. It's also very practical outdoors. It makes a good base under a blanket to make sure you don't get pokey sticks or rocks for a picnic or just an outdoor hangout blanket spot for the family. You could even leave it outdoors overnight and know it won't be ruined by water damage. And, if it gets too dirty, you can just hose it off! It packs into a pretty compact space, so you could take it camping and use it for a tent base inside the tent. This is nice for the same reasons I spoke about above, keeping your camper's feet and tent floor safer from pokey objects under the tent. This mat is good for so much, you might want to get several!
