This is an exact replacement for vintage 2011 MacBook Pro computers. These were great computers and replacing their parts with good quality parts extends their life even further.

This replacement keyboard works great. The MacBook Pro that I put it in feels and looks newer. The old keys were sticky and the power button did not work. This keyboard fixed all of my problems.

having read the reviews for this keyboard I thought it was the solution I had been looking for. I was somewhat surprised when it arrived the whole box smelled strongly of incense, not unpleasant at all, a little odd but maybe it’s a manufacturers USP?The whole keyboard is beautifully packaged and that seemed very reassuring - however once the board was fitted it quickly manifested its quirks and foibles. It just didn’t work very well at all, despite reading and following all the manufacturers directions. There was no rhyme nor reason to it - sometimes a letter presented its self on screen with a tap of the key, another time it refused to appear at all unless you gave the key a firm press or jab. I have replaced many keyboards but this was just pretty awful. My original board had lost just one letter, ‘g’ now I had to revisit letters continuously and it quickly became throughly annoying. It smelled nice though.Sadly I couldn't live with the incontinent delivery of letters.I bought a genuine Apple, ‘new’ top cover with keyboard attached and suddenly my world of letters returned, sadly it didn’t smell but hey, can’t have everything.I really wanted to like the replacement keyboard that smelt so exotically of eastern promise but it just didn’t deliver. The included backlight coverage was patchy at best and that’s me being kind. Maybe I had a real bum board? I don’t know - could I recommend it? Not really, but if you like your board as a scratch and sniff experience, knock yourself out.

first keyboard the power button wasn't workin so I ordered a repalcement and it had the same issue. This would be even noticeable for the seller so I do not understand the lack of quality control.

The first keyboard they sent out didn’t work but these guys stood behind their product and sent out a replacement quickly. They were very helpful and prompt at responding to questions. This keyboard will work for you.You just need to have the patience to go through the process of removing 80 tiny screws.

My MacBook keyboard stopped working on keys 1-9 and some letters. I took it up to Geek Squad at Best Buy (other places, including Apple had a wait time of MONTHS due to Covid). Best Buy showed me what to buy on Amazon for a new keyboard and they would install it. Took about two days but a fast turn around over all. The key boad looks like the one that originally came with my macbook. it still lights up, lays flat, everything looks. i am very happy with the purchase..... i did hear from the tech that it is a a tendinous process with many many screws- not for someone (like me) that doesnt know how to work computers.

The keys don't feel quite as tight as the original keys but it works very well. There is also a hole that this aligns with a pin on the computer frame whose diameter was slightly smaller than that of the computer frame. But it has been working well for the last few months without issues. Well worth it and recommended.

This part worked perfectly, great quality. No issues at all, looks identical to the OEM keyboard. That said, I have been in the tech repair business for 10 years, and I can say with all honesty this is not a repair that first timers want to try on their own. Highly intricate repair process. Just FYI.
