I love absolutely everything about this pack except my platform and sticks are too big. A smaller setup would be perfect for this pack.
It works really good

As stated, this is my first ‘real’ pack. Aside from my experience in the ARMY (2002-2006) with the old packs they issued to us, I have not bought or used modern packs. With that being said, I am super happy with this pack. After watching a few videos on YouTube that explained how to adjust all the straps, I was able to go on a three mile hike in rough terrain without any issues. No shoulder pain like with regular ‘back-packs’. This pack has an integrated frame and a waist belt that can be adjusted to transfer all the weight from the pack to your hips- not your shoulders. I do not know how much weight I put in for my test hikes but I’d say between 25 to 30 pounds. As of yet, I have no complaints with this pack. I hope to test out the ‘Meat Hauling’ capabilities this year. This pack has the ability to separate the pack from the frame and accept a load between the frame and the pack. You can add loads of meat from your harvest and add it to your pack without having to empty out cargo from your pack. Look up this pack on YouTube- add what YouTube teaches you to this review- buy this pack. This was a really big investment for me. If this is a really big investment for you and you are a first-time ‘pack’ buyer… you will be happy with this bag. I also have the Badlands binocular case in the same camo pattern. The quality is high. For the money- it’s a great pack.
